Holiday Party at Kenilworth Inn - Tuesday December 19th
Dear Colleagues,
Join us at our annual Holiday Party! It will be an excellent opportunity to share the holiday spirit with friends old and new, enjoy a relaxing lunch and start the holiday season with a smile. Meet your board members too.
As in the past we will have gifts to raffle off, bring a gift, get a gift, and a 50-50.The lunch includes 1 hour open bar.
A new year is upon us bringing new and exciting challenges to ourselves and our industry. To help meet these challenges, the New Jersey Board is putting together a comprehensive meeting schedule for 2007.
1st Quarter Agenda
- January: Site Tour UPS, Mahwah
- February: Presentation: Lance Humphries CMDSS and CMDSM Re-Certification
- March: Site Tour: Merrill Lynch
- April: Presentation / Tour Neopost. This will include a presentation of the USPS Rate Case
We have a number of site tours and presentations lined up for the remainder of 07 including a tour of a major NJ University Mail facility, DHL, and the USPS.
The new CMDSS (Supplier Certification) is a great evolution of the CMDSM. The CMDSS (Certified Mail & Distribution Systems Supplier) Certification incorporates Supplier themes as they relate to doing business with Mail & Distribution Management within companies. While the CMDSS exam maintains the same integrity elements of the CMDSM exam, it is tailored to include quality assurance, customer relationship management, business ethics, negotiation, selling and presentation skills and other topics salient to Supplier excellence. Supplier Certification benefits suppliers and customers alike.
Our focus will also be on a number of key issues facing each of us in 07. Obviously, the rate case will be a hot topic as well as the changes in NJ law regarding delivery charge taxes. The board is dedicated to making sure we share information on these subjects and provide the necessary forums for the membership to keep up to date on these important changes in our industry.
For December however, let’s get together for a holiday lunch and reflect on 06 while looking forward to 07. If possible, please take some time out of your busy schedule to come to the event and enjoy an afternoon with your peers and colleagues. On behalf of the board, we look forward to seeing you on the 19th.
